Dear people,
Im using audacity now for quite some time now but I just encoutered an error ive never seen before.
I tried to record something from my soundcard wich I have done more often.
The strange thing is, it works fine untill I trie to record while the program 'renoise' is open.
I recorded many times with this program open so I dont know where this comes from.
The other strange thing is, there is a 'record from soundcard' option in renoise too but when I try to record via that I get almost the same message. (but then in renoise style)
How is it possible I can record from my soundcard (integrated) while my music is playing but suddenly (I didnt download anything weird or something the last days) I cant while renoise is open? (and maybe other programs)
I checked all the options and everythings ok for as far as I know (at sound devices in windows and all the options in audacity are correct too)
Error while opening sound device.

Re: Error while opening sound device.
Sudden unexplained Windows insanity can be caused by viruses. Did you get the Valentine's Day virus that went around? The warning for that one came down through our Systems Department. It was a pretty stiff problem.
Would this be a good time to upgrade your virus program signatures and do a manual system scan? I know that's supposed to happen by itself, but there's nothing like halting all running programs and forcing a comprehensive system-wide scan.
