How do I paste Audio in the exact spot I want it, instead of pasting at the start?

You can paste wherever you have moved the cursor to, unless you try and paste after the end of a track. If you do that the paste will attach to the end of the track, because Audacity 1.2 does not support more than one clip per track. As a workaround, you can generate silence at the end of the track to separate the audio. To do that, click at or after the end of the track, Generate > Silence and choose the length of silence you want. Then you can paste at the end of the silence.

Audacity Beta supports multiple clips per track.
