recording stops after a few seconds

recording stops after a few seconds

When I start recording a new track it records for a few seconds and then stops. It never did this until recently. How do I control or remove this limitation?

how much free *unfragmented* disk space do you ahve?

You have given very little information to work with.
Which version of Windows, what sort of sound card, what are you trying to record, what settings are you using.....?
The more information you provide, the clearer picture it provides for anyone wanting to help.
Too much information is better than not enough.
