Anyway to tweak the EQs in real time (as the audio plays)?

Hey everybody,
I was wondering if there was a plugin for Audacity that would let you change the EQ's of a certain track as the track is being played.

Unfortunately not, though in Audacity 1.3.12 you can increase the length of the "preview" by going to "Edit menu > Preferences > Playback tab".
Personally I think this is a really important feature that is missing from Audacity and is among the most commonly requested features on the Feature Request page of the Audacity wiki.

Would you like me to add your vote?

Sure thing. Could I add my own vote in too? Double vote it up.

That's not to say you can't get there from here. You can create two shows one above the other one at one equalization and one at the other. You can use the Envelope tools to dissolve between them at whatever rate or direction you want.

No, let's keep it honest
You need to register to be able to write to the wiki. If you are registered, or would like to register, go ahead and add your vote. If not, I can add it for you.
BTW, unless you still use Windows 98, it is highly recommended to upgrade to Audacity 1.3.12. There are a huge number of improvements over the old 1.2.6 version, but the interface should still be pretty familiar.
