Recording Issue

Hi,
I have recently converted a bunch of vinyl using the Numark TT to MP3. When trying to mix in a new track using Virtual DJ, the incoming track always seems to be a beat behind. I know that some may think that this may be a Virtual DJ issue (I have posted this on the VDJ Forum also), but whenever I try and mix an MP3 from another source outwith Audacity it works fine and there are no lapses.
Please help!
Cheers,
Kilted

If you load one of your Audacity MP3s back into a fresh Audacity, what do the numbers on the left panel say? If they don't say 44100, 16-bit, Stereo, change it to that with this forumla...
Depth/Rate Conversion
-- Change Project Rate (Hz) lower left > 44100
-- Track Name > Set Sample Format > 16-bit PCM
-- File > Export > Format > MP3
And Export a new MP3. Does that one work any better?

Koz,
It says on the left "Stereo, 44100Hz, 32-Bit Float"
I'd try and change it but I am a little confused with the instructions, how do I - "Track Name > Set Sample Format > 16-bit PCM"?
Thanks for the help man.

The "Track name" can be found in the toip of the trqack control box at the left of the track. Inless you have renamed it, it is likely to be named "Audio Track" - click on the downward pointing little black triangle to the right of the track name - click on "Select Sample Format" fromthe dropdown - select 16-bit.

Hi Guys, that didn't help. But I did notice that up top in the Wave Zoom panel that the blocks underneath where the graph shows each Kick Drum are not in sync with the peak of the kick drum, WTF? Obviously if I press "Sync" and the program is trying to match the peak of each kick drum with each block and they are off then that's where the half beat delay is coming in. It looks to me like it may be a recording issue, would I be correct and how can I rectify??
Thanks again for the help, I'm an old time vinyl only DJ trying get with the program!!
Cheers,
Kilted.
