Hi I have a digidesign mini mbox (digital interface) which came with a copy of Protools. I have had trouble downloading protools and find it complicated so would like to try audacity although I'm not sure wether it would work with my mini mbox. I have windows vista as my operating system. Can you help?
Cheers Danna

Re: Using Audacity with a digidesign mini mbox
Worth a try - should work.
I would use Audacity 1.3.12 rather than 1.2 - you can get it from here: http://audacityteam.org/download/
These topics from the manual and Wiki may help you:

It's certainly worth a try - it won't cost you anything apart from your time - and it won't break youd mbox gadget.
My personal experience with Avid seems to be that their hardware is better than their software - and their support and their website forum help is pretty poor. I bought a device of theirs for video transfer and ended up abandoning use of their supplied software and using Nero 9 instead.
