Export to mp3

Hello from Slovakia!
Today I instaled the Audacity to manipulation with audio files.
I read that to export the files to mp3 I must instal Lame too.
So I instaled it too.
I have the 1.2.6 version of Audacity(if it is necessary to know).
Then I opened the mp3 file in Audacity, modified it and wanted to export it.
But then started the problems.
PC opened the dialog with note, that Lame can´t be open, that at first I must open the Lame in Audacity dialog.
So I opened it (menu->open->Lame).
OK, Lame was open.
But I still can´t export the file to mp3.
I try to expotr it from Audacity and from Lame too.
But still open the dialog with the note, that I need the libmp3lame.so file to export.
What can I do with it? Where is that libmp3lame.so file, and why I need it? Why, when I instaled the Lame?
Can you help mee?

Oh yes, that information is very helpful. Also knowing what version of Windows you are using is helpful.

Where is that libmp3lame.so file

You should not have a libmp3lame.so file if you are on Windows, so you need to say what your operating system is so that we can give the correct information.

I´m on Windows XP.
That libmp3lame.so I understant, thank´s.
Now I´m going to read that instaltion of Lame, but it started automaticly, what I have remember(sorry English).

OK It function.
I deleted the first instalation and instaled it again(But that link for download is that which I used at first time, I don´t understant where was the mistake).
When I opened the Lame in Audacity, it required the ,,lame_enc.dll,, now. At first it required the ,,libmp3lame.so file,, like I wrote.
But it was that instalation which I used at first.
Don´t you know something about it?
