Hi,
I am using Windows 7 and Audacity 1.2.6, I recorded from a sound desk using line-in but it crashed before I could save it. A message comes up saying some temporary files were found but they cannot be recovered automatically. It says they can be recovered manually but I can't find where they are being kept. Can anyone help please?
Where do temporary files get saved?

Audacity 1.2.x is now obsolete. Please use the current Audacity 2.1.x version.
The final version of Audacity for Windows 98/ME is the legacy 2.0.0 version.

Re: Where do temporary files get saved?
you may do far better with Audacity 1.3.12.

The super old Audacity 1.2 and modern operating systems don't always see eye to eye.
