Playing audio files
I never had any trouble playing my audio files in the past. But now when I open a file and try to play it, it plays too fast for about a 1/2 second and then stops.

Re: Playing audio files
That's what Audacity does when it encounters a sound file it doesn't understand. I bet if you downloaded and played this short sound file, it would work just fine...

You can try to convert your music to WAV files and then those will open in Audacity.

If you continue to have odd Audacity problems, you should also upgrade to Audacity 1.3.12.

Audacity 1.2 hasn't been changed in a long time and does not always get along with newer computers.
