Hoping someone may be able to help.
I'm trying to record from my mixer into Audacity. It's connected via a soundcard - Cititronic AC-I USB - and I've set all the preferences as instructed, played around with the input and output levels within Audacity, and the gains on my mixer.
Even with the gains really low on the mixer, and the input volume right down in Audacity, the recording comes out very distorted. I'm not too sure if there's anything else I can try, whether it's my mixer (which is pretty old - 3-channel KMX-300), my laptop (Compaq Presario V6000), or if I'm missing something obvious. Have tried the soundcard on both different USB ports.
Any help much appreciated, and apologies if this is going over old ground.

It's Windows Vista.
Re: Another sound distortion problem....
You should be using Audacity 1.3.12 with Vista. Audacity 1.2.6 is too old to run well on Vista.
