Audacity Forum

I saved my completed song in audacity, but i didn't export it yet. I closed audacity because i installed a plug in and now i don't know how to open it so it was the way before. It's just a folder with lost of clips. Please tell me i don't have to do it over.

How can i get it back? is there a way? please hurry so i know if i have to spend even more time on it.

start audacity
under file recent you should see the song you did
open it

else
find the auP folder name for the song you recorded.
do NOT do anything with the DATA folder or any au files in it.
click on the aup folder and the song should open

if you deleted the aup folder
then you should not expect to still have that song but you can
try to get it back from the trash bin and restore it
