Hi, All,
Audacity has recorded a number of audio tracks from an audio cassette for me and a few of them have only a second or two of silence before the music starts. Can I increase the leadin time for these tracks to about five seconds? I have tried the Time Shift tool, but can't get it to do this job for me.
Leadin time.

Re: Leadin time.
Select an area in the middle of whatever is there. Generate > Silence.
Select the total new silence area and magnify Control-E. Now select and delete until you get exactly the lead-in you want. Control-F to zoom out full.
