mp3 playback

Hi
I have recorded a track from a cassette to my laptop, however when I play it back it is at a fast speed(bit like a chipmunk)
Can anyone help please

How did you do that?

If you recorded in Audacity 1.2.6, did you use "File menu > Export As MP3"?

I did use that version and I did export as mp3.
Note that the music was at normal speed but the vocals were at the faster speed

You've not given much information to go on, but my guess is that you copied the track with the vocals to a track that had a different sample rate.
Audacity 1.2.x uses 1 sample rate per track (indicated in the track information box). The "sample rate" is a bit like the "tape speed" on an old tape recorder.
