Hello all, it's my first time here. I trawled through some of the Audacity help pages, posts on here and even added some info to my registry, but to no avail. I have downloaded 1.3.12. I have Windows XP. There is no 'tab' format under Preferences, just a list menu on the left, and no 'Audio' tab. As I am not hearing any audio from my sound device to laptop I am guessing this may be the missing link... please help!
Thank you.

Re: No tabs in Preferences
In version 1.3, the "Devices" option in the preferences menu selects the recording and playback devices.

Re: No tabs in Preferences
Thank you for your reply, Irish. I must have been looking at a screencap from an earlier version.
