Problems PLS HELP ME.

I Just got the apex 181 ubs mic and im trying to get recording . Very excited but having alot of problems getting the monitoring to come back threw the head phone when i rec..! I have a great pair of jvc head phones and i seem to Sing way better when i hear my self singing . is there any ways i can have do this while i record Im open to any suggestions ive spent all day in search of A program that was capable of this function thank leah

You can go into Audacity Preferences and set Hardware Playthrough. Restart Audacity. That should send your live voice back to your headphones. If that fails, deselect Hardware and select Software Playthrough. Restart Audacity.

Software Playthrough almost always works, but your voice comes back to you late. Hardware is a lot less likely to do that, but not all computers work with Hardware Playthrough.

You do need to be on headphones for all this. If you try this with speakers, the machine might start screaming or thumping like crazy.

Most of the time, Audacity 1.3.11 is much better and stable with more tools and filters than 1.2. You can safely put both versions on your machine as long as you only use one at a time. Audacity 1.3 projects will not open in 1.2
