How do I make one Audio Book track from CD rip

So I've managed to download the appropriate codec to import tracks from an audio book via Window Media Player. Now I am stuck....I want to take each track (from the CD) and combine them into one long audio track so each CD is one long track, then combine half of the CDs (each long tracks) into two parts. Three on part one and two on part two and of course do all this while maintaining the order of the book. How do I do this?
Thanks for any help you can provide.

Before we go too far with this, I don't know the format of an audiobook, but a Music CD can only hold 79:30. Just under 80 minutes, no matter what. Music CDs aren't data or compression bound, they're time bound. Does this fit in with your scenario?
Were you able to open up any of your ripped work and do they play OK and at the right speed?

yeah. I ripped the CD. It plays just fine. The audiobook was in FFwma format. I downloaded the right codec so Audacity could import the tracks. It's not going back on a CD...I plan to convert it all to mp3 and throw it on my iTouch.

Throw the first one on a track (File > Open), End the cursor and Import the next one. Lather, rinse, repeat. In each case, Control-F to make visible the full show on the timeline.
Export as MP3. Make sure you can do the whole process, beginning to end, with a two-minute segment before you commit a 10 hour production. Do you have the lame software?
I would so not be doing this in Audacity 1.2. Download and install 1.3.11. You can safely install both, but only use one at a time. Audacity 1.3 projects will not open in 1.2

Well it didn't go quite as you instructed. I did open a new track, I did place the cursor at the end of the track and imported the second track; however, it only put the track below the first track. I highlighted the second track, crtl+C (copy), placed the cursor at the end of the first track, crtl+V (paste), and boom....I deleted the second track and I had both tracks on one line. I imported the rest of the tracks and did the same for each. I did, however, find that the more I copied, the more I had to switch to the zoom feature to see where I was placing the next track. After 15 copy and pastes' (just the first CD), I did have to download the Lame mp3 encoder. So cudos to you for bringing that to my attention as well as everything that led up to my ultimate success.
Thanks a ton.

So I'm finding out. I've turned this into a Feature Request posting.

It's working out just fine. I'm no where nears finished, however I don't see any negative issues from doing it this way.
On an off note, I do purchase Audio Books from Audible and I'm unable to over come thier encryption method so I can share these books. Should i open a new post to address the issue? I read something about audible formats before on this forum but my issue wasn't addressed.

Encryption methods (such as DRM) are designed to prevent you from "sharing".
If you check the terms of your purchase agreement you will probably find that you only have rights for personal use and that sharing is prohibited.
Circumventing copy protection for the purpose of "sharing" (or any other form of redistribution) is illegal and obviously cannot be encouraged on this forum.
If you have purchased the rights to share the books then you could request a copy from them that is not encrypted.
I think that law in most countries supports "fair use" that allows making personal copies of media that you have bought providing these copies are only for your own personal use - disclaimer: this is an opinion and not a statement of law.

technically it is illegal to share audio books by making copies.
like any book you are entitled to let others read the original copy.
that said, they are illegally violating your right to fair use to make a backup copy of your book.
that being said
for a book it should be possible to play the book through your stereo speakers and record that via a microphone. maybe even just tap the phone out or line out and record that analog signal. quality may be down a little but should be usable. note that doing this could be illegal and does potentially put you are risk for
big penalties especially if you distribute that copy not just use it as a backup.
