Save Project As won't act

I have used audacity/lame applications to copy and burn over 140 LPs over the past 6 months.
Last night after copying and exporting as MP3 files the 3 LPs I was working on, I started on my fourth.
However
When I tried the "Save Project As" for the next album, the usual window came up to save it to a location, when I had identified where to save it, the "Save" function did not operate. That window remains open but it will not save the new project.

Did you use a forbidden character in your filename? No punctuations marks. Upper and lower case letters, numbers, underscore and dash only.

Did you finally fill up your hard drive? How big is the drive and how full is it?
