Flatline when recording

Post by ringsideboxingshow » Mon Mar 15, 2010 11:02 pm

Hi, guys:
I have three options for recording:
* Microsoft Sound Mapper - Input
* Realtek HD Audio Input
* Mircorsoft Lifecam VX-3000
I've tried all three option and get nothing but a flatline when I'm recording. It doesn't matter whether I'm trying to record a CD or off YouTube. I've spoken to some guys at the local radio station about the problem, and they're completely stumped.
Any theories?
Thanks,
Dennis

<<<I'm trying to record a CD or off YouTube. >>>

That's the phrase that pays. You want to record your own computer. Not all PCs can do this, but if yours can, this is how...

If you simply can't find Mix-Out or What-U-Hear, then you may have one of those terrific computers without this ability. Macs don't support this, either.

Then we send you to Total Recorder or other capture software. Or, if you're on a deskside machine, a Line-Out to Line-In jumper cable. If you're on a laptop, then you need something like a UCA-202 USB sound adapter and a jumper cable.
