Hi gurus

I finally realized that after going around and around to find a workaround to my IDT problem and what u hear not been able to work, I bought me a Sound Blaster X-fi sound card, I installed the card and now when I open audacity I can see the "what you hear" option, I choose the option and hit record while I am listening the music on my compute (Internet Music) but nothing records, no sounds in been recorded by AU. the sound card is connected but I dont know what to do from here.

Thanks for any help I can get.

is this really external?
does it connect via usb?
what drivers are you using ??
may not be supported by audacity.
did you select usb for your i/o device?

really need complete details to offer better suggestions.

<<<the sound card is connected >>>

So it is an external sound card?

Sometimes you can eliminate a lot of problems right away by resetting Audacity preferences to 44100, 16-bit, Stereo. Audacity wakes up in 44100, 32-bit, mono and nobody supports that.

Restart Audacity.
