Stopped recording

I installed audacity and recorded some of my broadcasting with no problem. Now when I click on record it doesn't seem to hear me?
Could you give more detail?
Type of computer, which version of Windows, what sort of "broadcasting", how are/were you recording, any other information that may help? Too much information is better than not enough.
