Want to Convert Some Songs To Mono!

I drag a MP3 file into Audacity for modification. I want to create a Mono version so I click on the drop-down next to the file name in the working area. Alas, mono is grayed out and not an option. :x

Please help!

I think I "figgered" out how to do it:

Import a stereo WAV or MP3 file. Pull down and select "split stereo".

Then select Mono and both tracks.

Done!

You can then export the mono version as a mp3 or wav.
