Noise when imported

I recorded an interview today on a dictaphone, but when I try to import it in Audacity, all i get is a very short fragment of noise.
I did notice the time on top only goes to 0,350, but I have no idea how to fix this.
Does anyone know what I have to do?
Thanks!

Edit: I just noticed it does the same thing when I import a song.
And everything works just fine whenever I play it in Itunes or Media Player.

You are almost certainly trying to import a file type that is noy supported by Audacity 1.2.x
Your options (any combination):
Convert the file to WAV format ("SUPER" by erightsoft is an excellent free media format converter) and then import it.
Upgrade to Audacity 1.3.11 and install FFMpeg. FFMPeg allows Audacity 1.3.x to import a much greater range of file formats.
