HI there, i have a recording of a live gig acoustic guitar and vox as WAV file and have a few issues id like to sort before commiting to CD -
is there a way of clipping high end volume, ie - in some places the singing just peaks too loud.
is there a way of raising the volume of the guitar through maybe finding what frequency the guitars at?(i dont have seperate tracks, just one Wav)
how do i seperate the individual tracks, so when its all on CD you can skip etc.
Any help greatly appreciated!

It depends on what you mean by "peaks too loud".
If the audio is clipped (distorted), you may be out of luck. But there is a plug-in (I believe it requires 1.3.11 to work) call Clip Fix that may help.
If it is just a case of the singer getting a bit over-enthusiastic, then what you want is compression. Again, the Compressor effect in 1.3.11 is much improved over the one in 1.2.x.

We warn people that recording the Final Delivered Show during the capture step is a mistake. Record the show slightly low so you don't get into clipping and other distortions. Clip-Fix is a patch tool to make that kind of distortion less objectionable. It doesn't restore the performance to perfection and it's easy to overwhelm it and you have no show. Start scheduling the reshoot.
Post Production is a big deal and that's where you play all the tricks after you record the performance perfectly clean. You can't recover from most peak distortion and you can't remove echoes or compression damage. You can't start with a ratty, mono, honky MP3 and end up with a clear, live, stereo Rush performance.
Chris's Compressor is another compression tool add-in that can reduce the volume swings of a live performance into something more manageable -- and not break anything in the process.
