Set Recording Time Limit

Trying to convert my cassettes to mp3. Can I set a recording time limit in Audacity so that I dont have to manually stop it each time? I know my tapes are 30 minutes long, it would be nice if I could have Audacity stop recording after 30 minutes. Is this possible?

It would, wouldn't it? This is one reason I can't use Audacity to record internet radio shows when I'm not here. I think there is a timer in the new 1.4.

1.2.x has no timers I've ever been able to find.

You might try 1.3.x. I think that one has a timer, and you can get 1.2.x and 1.3.x to install on your machine at the same time (just don't run them that way).

Cofirming 1.3.x does have a timer - available from the Tracks dropdown Tracks>Timer Record - seems to work fine.
