I am getting minimal level with a usb mic input. Prior to having to re download the program, the level was fine. Now i neitehr get adaquat record of playback level. If you know what to do with this, I am under the gun. I am glad to pay for some hands on / phone support.

USB microphones can have their own software package to control them. The normal Windows control panels don't work because sound gets converted to digital inside the microphone instead of the computer's sound card. Does the microphone have its own service or icon in the control panels?
