No Input Device Selection
I have downloaded Audacity 1.2.6 but I can't select an input device, it is greyed out. I have deleted and tried again but some thing. Tried beta version as well. Any Ideas? I am running windows xp home. jimb

Re: No Input Device Selection
Are you using a USB device as input?
If so you would expect it to be greyed-out as there is only a sigle path available (via the USB).

Re: No Input Device Selection
Then, what is seen in that drop-down selection is normally entirely dependent on your soundcard and its associated driver software. Have you tried updating the drivers fror your soundcard? Try searching t'interweb for the latest drivers.

Yep. Have a Realtek sound card and downloaded driver from their web site. Still no input selection. Downloaded Audacity again but same problem. jimb
