Audacity 1.2.6.
Can it record for about 9 hours?
Ill have to record through Audacity an internet radio show, but since I realised that I cant record between a range of hours and leave the computer, my uncreative solution is to turn on the radio broadcast, start the Audacity recording when i leave the house (something like 7:00) and stop the recording when i get back (16:00). I actually need it only for one hour - 15:00 to 16:00.
Is it possible or will it stop recording before i get back?
thanks

Qualified yes. People have done that, but the requirements for the computer go way up as the number of hours goes up. You're in Surveillance System land with that many hours. Those machines make special provision for long recordings and arrange the operating system accordingly. If you're on an underpowered laptop with almost full hard drive, then forget it.

Doesn't Audacity 1.3 have full timed recording tools? We're going to put you in Audacity 1.3 anyway. 1.2 has simple, underpowered tools and is hopelessly outdated.

Use Audacity 1.3.11 - it has "Timer Record".
