shinnen,

If you're happy with de-amplifying the clicks (and I do use this myself for larger "events"/faults on the vinyl - then should start to experiment with the Envelpe tool (the tool with the icon of two vertical triangles pointing towards each other with a white dot and a blue line between). The envelope will enable you to have more gradual control of the de-amplification transition and you should get a smoother result.

Hi WC,
I found the tool your talking about, but can't quite see how it works, either alone, or in combo with Amplify, as you were mentioning. Can you give me a couple of pointers?
Thanks,
john

john,

When you select the envelope tool the wav graphic changes to show surrounding blue lines - these lines can be used to control the amplitude. Cicking ur cursor at a particular point will ceate little whit dots These dots can be dragged down and up to decrease/increase the amplitude - and it transitions smoothly between the points.

And don't forget to reselect the normal cursor tool after you've done the enveloping.

O.K. WC... Thanks. I was missing the fact that the dots can be dragged.
