I have been trying to use Audacity to record my skype conversations (my friends use it to chat when playing WoW). I can get it to record my voice (I am speaking into a mic) but no one else's. I think the problem is that I am using headphones (plugged into the front of my comp) to listen to them. When I unplug my headphones it records them fine. But I have to use headphones so that I do not disturb my roommate. I have my speakers plugged up (I use a cord that goes from the back of the computer to the monitor [the monitor has built in speakers]) but my headphones override the speakers.
I am on Windows 7 with the stable version of Audacity and the most recent version of Skype.
Anyone have any suggestions on how to record Skype using Audacity with headphones?

Nobody can do that. Skype takes over the computer sound and the best you can ever do is record one side.
You can add other software. Pamela Professional or Pamela Business will record the conversations each to its own side of the track so you can perform effects and cleanup later. There are no time restrictions with either.

I believe Total Recorder can do this, too.
Pamela Basic and Standard dump everything onto one track and both of them have time limits.

Re: Skype/Audacity Problems
Audacity can not, on it's own, record both sides of a Skype conversation. On a Windows computer, to record sounds playing on the computer AND the microphone requires that Audacity is set up to record from "Stereo Mix". The trouble is that Skype changes the settings to "Microphone" and switches "Stereo Mix" off.
There are ways to work around this problem, such as using a second sound card, or a virtual sound card, but the easiest way is to use one of the programs that is designed specifically for Skype recording (for example, Pamela).
