Tracks become distorted after recording
So, this has happened to me quite a bit lately. I've been recording some tracks (all through either an M-Audio USB Audi Interface or Samson USB mic) and all the tracks sound just fine and clear for a while. Then randomly I'll go to add another track or switch between mics and all my tracks will become distorted. Then no matter what I've tried they all stay distorted. Does anyone have any idea what's going wrong here?

Re: Tracks become distorted after recording
Do the blue waves in each track timeline get bigger? Can you tell if they change at all?
Sudden Computer Insanity can be caused by your hard drive filling up or becoming unavailable. This is the pathway for the drive size, fullness, error checking, and defragmenting. Audacity will not run into a full or fragmented drive.
Defrag
-- Right Click Start > Explore > Right Click Local Drive C: > Properties (Used, Remaining) > Tools > Error Checking & Defragmentation
Read the two numbers: drive size and fullness.
