Lots of it in the background now is their some way i can remove the static noise with audacity. The dvd files are VOB, and i know i have to convert them to mp3 or wav, but i have no idea how. I used smart ripper, and it created the whole show is a mpeg file, but just the sound byte. Thats the file i opened with audacity,i can play it and here the whole show, i just want to remove that static! any help i would appreciated a lot!! ps. STEP BY STEP instructions if anyone can!

Better still, there's a tutorial about noise removal in the Audacity wiki:
http://audacityteam.org/wiki/index.php? ... se_Removal

and one about removing clicks:
http://audacityteam.org/wiki/index.php? ... ck_Removal

and some information about removing single clicks with "Repair" effect (v.1.3.x only)
