HELP: sound on computer gone bcoz audacity

somebody help me plz.
I hav record some voice with audacity 1.2.6. but when I try to scrolling right input volume on Mic volume, da sound on ma computer is gone. its weird man. can u help me to restore da sound on ma computer?? thx!
ma computer is Toshiba OS XP Home Edition 2002
