Producing CDs for sound system play
As a very new Audacity user this may seem a naive question but,...I want to burn CDs (playable on a standard CD player in a sound-system) from vinyl albums using my USB turntable. The CD's I have produced so far are great but in the WAV file format they only work in a PC or MAC and NOT in my CD player! How can I get them to play in my CD?? Help please...

Re: Producing CDs for sound system play
russell,
You neeed to burn a music CD and not a data CD. You will need some cd burner software for this like Nero or RecordNow etc -even iTunes can be used to burn CDs from playlists.
I suspect that you have just been dragging and dropping the WAVs onto the CD - in which case you will definitely have made a data CD.
And do ensure that you use good quality CD-Rs and nor CD-RWs.
