I want to drag & drop an AVI onto Audacity (under WInXP).
The AVI contains an AC3 audio track.

Audacity should automatically identify the AC3 audio track.

Then I want to export/save/strip the audio track and convert into MP3.

Is this possible with Audacity ?

Can Audacity handle AC3 tracks at all?

Audacity does not support AC3, you need to convert it to a supported format such as wav first.
