i'm confused about exporting files

Post by schnahz » Mon Jan 25, 2010 6:31 am

greetings all,
Once i have created a new file in audacity and exported it as a wave file I want to send it to windows media so i can sync it to my mp3 player. the problem is getting the file to windows media player after i export it.I find it by going to my start menu and looking under documents. when i try use windows media to open it i get a message saying that windows is looking for it, then it tells me that the file this shortcut refers to has been changed or moved so the shortcut will no longer work properly and i"m given the option of letting windows fix it which usually gets me to windows media player with the file. I have a feeling i'm doing this the hard way. Thanks in advance.

Assuming a healthy WAV file, Right-click on it > Open With > Windows Media.

You know you can get serious computer confusion if you use dates or any other forbidden characters in your filenames. Upper and lower case letters, numbers, underscore, and dash are the only safe characters in filenames. I have to push files all over Earth, so I don't use spaces, either.

Today is 20100125 or 2010-01-25
