Audacity Forum

I have downloaded Audacity and LAME MP2 encoder BUT when I tried to do the tweaking it suggested I failed.
It said to Click on File Formats and 'arrange Audacity for use with the LAME MP3 ecnoder.' I can't find any place
to do that. Can someone help please?
I am using Windows XP
Version 1.2.6 Audacity

Click on the "Edit Menu"
Click on "Preferences"
Look for the section called "File Formats"
