recording to cd

When trying to send audio to a cd for burning. Audacity says it cannot send to the cd. I have tried different types of cd but still no luck. Any thoughts?

Yes. Audacity doesn't burn anything to a CD ever, in any of the three computing platforms.

In the case of Windows, you need to create your high-quality individual music cuts and drop them into Easy CD Creator, Veritas Record Now, Nero Burning ROM or Windows Media 11 and up. I'm not sure what happens if you have iTunes on your PC. In Mac land, that will take care of everything.

This is assuming you want to create a Red Book Standard Music CD, not a data CD which is a small shiny hard drive.

Yup, iTunes works a treat and will do this for you in the "wonderful" world of Windows/PCs too.
