Help Updating
I already have 1.2 but I downloaded 1.3 Beta and I expected it to takeover 1.2 and all the .aup files will be compatible. But it isnt!! So I un-installed 1.3 for a fresh start-over. Can somebody tell me how to update my audacity properly...??
Re: Help Updating
I would suggest that you wait for a week or so as 1.3.11 is due to be released imminently.
Audacity 1.3.x can open Audacity 1.2.x projects, but Audacity 1.2.x can not open projects that have been saved by 1.3.x
I always worry when I hear of people asking about opening .AUP files. You are aware that an AUP file is just one small part of an Audacity project? The actual audio data for the project is not in the .AUP file, it is elsewhere. If you're wondering what I'm talking about, read this carefully: http://wiki.audacityteam.org/wiki/File_Management_Tips
I'll look out for a new post from you when Audacity 1.3.11 has been released. Just send a reply to this topic when you have the new 1.3.11 version.
