Audacity Forum

Hello. I am new here and just bought a Sony Voice Recorder ICD-PX720. I want to put the audio I recorded into Audacity but cannot get it to work. I plug the recorder into the USB port but don't see where my computer finds it anywhere. I installed the Sony software and it sees the recorder but says it cannot access it. Is there a plugin I need in order to get audacity to see it? Any help is appreciated. If this is in the wrong section please let me know.

Audacity is a complete slave to the computer that's running it. If the computer can't see the recorder or the sound files, Audacity will never see them, either.
