sorry for the post - i just read that VSTi is not supported. Now, let's see if i can delete this thing...

No problem, but something that may help with VST Effects....

Audacity 1.3.11 supports many (not all) VST effects (not instruments) including pretty graphic interfaces.
In Audacity 1.3.11 you do not use the VST bridge plug-in, just put the VST effect in the Audacity plug-ins folder and set Audacity to rescan for effects on the next launch (set this in the Effects section of Preferences).

I don't think that this has been documented in the manual yet, but there is some information in the Audacity wiki about it. http://wiki.audacityteam.org/wiki/VST_Plug-ins
