VU Meters

I have accidentally hidden the VU meters. I cannot find how to un-hide them. Help! Thank you.

Edit -> Preferences -> Interface tab
select "Enable meter toolbar"

Thank you. I have been recording from my USB turntable and, until now, in the Edit menu, the "Preferences" was greyed out. I just did it. Thanks again.
