I'm assuming you'r talking about the link to "Lame for Audacity on Windows.exe" on http://lame.buanzo.com.ar
It looks like the security settings on your computer are preventing you from accessing the link, because it is an executable file.

Try the ZIP Option in the link below it. Follow the instructions in the HELP link there.

What file did you download, and from where?
Windows plug-ins are dll files, and you just need to download them and put them into Audacity's plug-ins directory. Then re-start Audacity to make them appear in the Effects menu.

Have you read this?

No, you can't. Audacity is free, and is developed and maintained by volunteers.
Several people with a huge amount of experience with Audacity, and some of the developers, contribute to this forum, and will do their best to help with any problems.

ROFL :D :D :D

Sorry to laugh - but even with almost unlimited budgets there is no such thing as entirely bug-free software. Even the mighty NASA nearly managed to lose three astronauts in space once due to a previously undetected error (a simple missing comma in a Fortran DO LOOP).

1.2 is now very old and in spite of its "Stable" labelling - it is on many modern platforms more unstable that the latest Betas. 1.3.10 is the latest Beta on the Audacity site - I would recommend 1.3.11 from the nightly builds.

Get the latest 1.3.11 nightly build from here: http://wiki.audacityteam.org/index.php? ... tly_Builds
