I have version 1.2.6. I have a lot of mp3 files that are mpeg 1, layer 2. I can export them individually and they save as mpeg 1, layer 3 with all their ID3 tag details intact.
If I use multiple export as mp3 files the ID3 tags are all overwritten with the first files tag info.
How do I prevent this happening
TIA JB

Use a different program to convert them. Audacity is great at many things, but it's not particularly good for transcoding files. There's plenty of free programs that can do batch conversion. I use SUPER by erightsoft.

Thanks for your response, I'll give SUPER a try. Reading the web site suggests a very powerful bit of software

Yes it is, but the interface takes a bit of getting used to and it's a horrible link jungle trying to download the program - but it's effective and free, so you can't really complain. Somme format conversions take a bit of fiddling to make them work, but most combinations of formats are possible. If you get a warning message saying that your computer is below the required specification, then the program will probably still work, but may be rather slow with some formats.

I have downloaded the program and have run it. It is fast on my machine but I lost all my ID tag info from the mp3 files . As I was testing it does not really matter as I had backups but I must be doing something wrong. There isn't much help available for the novice user
