Hello there,
I recently recorded a song and exported it as mp3 with a 192 bit rate, stereo, compressed, etc, everything was good. However, for some reason, the exported mp3's volume is very very low when I play the track in itunes or upload it to my ipod. When I play the track in WMP or load the mp3 back into audacity, the volume is fine. Any ideas on what could possibly be causing this? Thanks--

Re: Exported mp3 & itunes issue
The only thing I can think of is, are you using the the iTunes/iPod settings to adjust all songs to play at the same relative sound level (pp34-24 of the iPod manual)?
I do exactly as you do, export MP3s at 192 and import them into iTunes/iPod wher they play fine for me - but I don't use the averaging feature described above.

Nope, I don't use itunes to manage the volume at all. Could there be any settings when making a mix or exporting that could do something similar to this?
