Windows burns MP3 files but questions rights on WAV files

The first time I burned an album using Windows Media Player it worked fine. Since then, every time I try to burn WAV files from an LP captured in Audacity I get a message that says, "It is not possible to burn this list of files because all of the files have errors or missing burn rights. To learn more about the problems, click the icon next to each file in the burn list." There are no icons next to the files.

MP3 files burn correctly but I want the quality of a WAV file burned as a CD Audio file.

I've searched the Windows and Audacity websites for information. I've used these to check properties for every sound-related setting mentioned in Windows Help or and the two website.

I'm stuck. Does anyone have any other ideas before I pay some guy at Microsoft $59 an hour to ask if my computer is plugged in?

First guess, try using other software to burn the discs.

Some people on their forums are saying that Exact Audio Copy works in Vista:

I have limited Vista experience, so I'm not certain.

I'm respondng to my own posting. I hope this is kosher.

I when into the control panel and removed all the trial media applications that came with my new computer. Windows Media Player now works just fine. I think the application that was keeping me from burning WAV files as CD Audio was Roxio.

Same thing happened to me. I followed the advise on this thread, and it worked.
