Newbie here, checked faqs for answers but couldnt find one.
Loaded 1.2.6, set everything up ok, did test recording of about 2 minutes of LP as suggested (via ION deck), saved ok.
Tried to record one side of LP (20mins) but when finished, crashed upon saving work.
Using Intel Dual core T5250, with 3GHz ram, 169GB hard drive, with 86 gig spare. Realtek AC97 audio with latest drivers etc.
Operating system Win 7 Ultimate 32 bit. (very stable), CPU usage when running Audacity circa 26 %. Have tried 1.2.4 with same results. Recording stereo 44kHz sampling 16 bit.
Help, any ideas, or am I being a complete idiot and missing something.

I have tried version 1.3.10 and it works ok now. Just one thing, why when I open the program and start recording, I get a second copy opened with nothing happening .

I've not heard of that before. Perhaps you are clicking too eagerly when you launch Audacity?
