Missing Selection From Drop Down Menus

Hi I am a complete novice at this, so my problem may seem very simple to all you experts.
I have recently become the proud owner of a Bush USB turntable (Model CTT6-PCR). It came with Audicity programme 1.2.6 which appears to have installed correctly. However when I followed the CONNECTION TO COMPUTER FOR RECORDING instructions I do not have the selection USB AUDIO CODEC in the drop down menus of either the playback device or recording device on the AUDIO I/O tab.
To date I have tried different USB sockets on my computer, different USB leads and also a different turntable of the same make and model. I have also tried rebooting my computer after disconnecting and reconnecting all USB peripherals ie keyboard, mouse, printer and turntable but everything I have tried makes no difference.
After rebooting, my computer informed me that it had recognised the following, USB Composite Device, UAC 3556B and 2 USB human interface devices.
Computer Dell Studio
Operating System Windows Vista
Playback Drop Down Menu Selections:
Microsoft sound mapper - output
Speakers (Realtek HD)
Realtek digital output (RCA)
Realtek HDMI output
Recording Drop Down Menu Selections:
Microsoft sound mapper - input
Line (2 - UAC3556B)
Headset microphone (2 - UAC 3556B)
I would be grateful for all the help anybody can provide to help me solve this problem.
Many thanks
