How to enable the pdown input selector"

Hello,

I'm using 1.2.6 version on win XP, I know this forum is aimed for 1.3 beta users, but still I must use it, cause the 1.2.X is locked for Questions.
Well,
After installation the "Audacity's Mixer Toolbar dropdown input selector" is disabled.
it means no option to change the mic input, but my source needs to be the computers audio mixer.
How do I enable it ???

thanks,
Rami.

Stay here for right now, but it should work now. They may have been doing a system update when you tried. Who in their right mind would be posting on Christmas?

I don't know that I would be bothering with the pulldown. Dig in Audacity Preferences to change the input.

The 1.2/Win forum seems to be working now, so I've moved this topic (and left a shadow copy so that you can find it).

Use Audacity Preferences (Edit menu > Preferences > Audio I/O) to select the audio device (sound card) that you want, then use your sound card control panel (may be the Windows Mixer or a custom interface, but usually a loudspeaker icon near the time/date) to select the required input.
