I am trying to convert cassette tape songs into MP3, so far this is what I have done:
1- Downloaded & instal audacity & lame_enc.dll
2- have the audio cable plugged to tape deck headphone port and to the sound card LINE IN
3- I launch audaciy and play the tape, but I dont see anything recording, there is no activity in output/input level meter4- From Edit, I went through the routine Preferences and all the steps as instructed.
I am using a Sound blast audigy card which has all ports in the back of the PC and the live drive in pannel in the front of the PC which has SPDIF IN/OUT & AUX in/out
I press record and play the tape, I can hear the song on my speakers but there is no recording activity.
Audigy sound card's software well installed and configured. Great sound when playing MP3 or movies. Just unable to record using audacity.
Any help will be greatly appreciated. Thanks..
