Distortion on audio of MP3 output file
When combining several sound tracks with a spoken audio track, the file is exported to MP3 format, however, with the finished file at various intervals it seems that for a split second a part of the audio is cut off. After a while it becomes annoying with the narration being interrupted about every 30 seconds with the deletion of part of a spoken word on the audio. It's almost as if the hard-drive speeds up for a fraction of a second. Have defragmented drive and stopped unneeded processes- - any other suggestions?

Re: Distortion on audio of MP3 output file
Where did you get the show from? You can get serious behavior problems if the original work is in a format that Audacity doesn't entirely understand. In Audacity 1.2, you can get through editing and export before you find out you have a damaged show.
You can also have problems if you edited in the Audcity 32-bit floating format instead of the more standard 16-bit. Do you get the same problem if you Export As WAV?
